I was craving curry for lunch near Shinjuku Station and found this place online. I fell in love with it at first sight and decided to go there immediately! The convenient location right in front of the station is a huge plus. There was a bit of a line, but I didn't have to wait too long to get in. The menu had so many options, but I had my heart set on the Beef Curry with a fluffy, cheesy omelet and a hamburger topping. It's nice to treat myself to a luxurious lunch every now and then. ☺️ The iced tea was refillable, and they even had a complimentary soup and potato butter! You could choose between potato butter or a watercress salad. The curry was a truly authentic, thick European-style curry! The sweetness of the onions really came through. The meat was so tender. The cheese was nicely grilled, which was a nice touch. ✨✨ The omelet was fluffy and buttery, and the hamburger was juicy and satisfying. Everything was absolutely amazing! It was a bit pricey, but it was definitely worth it! The food was so delicious, I was blown away! I definitely want to come back here the next time I'm in Shinjuku! Thank you for the delicious meal.

I had the fluffy and creamy omelet and beef curry. The mild spiciness was just right. You can adjust the spiciness with the spices on the table, and iced tea is refillable. Pickled radishes and pickled ginger are also available on the table. With lunch prices in the area exceeding ¥2,000, it was great to enjoy curry, soup, and potatoes for under ¥2,000. There is usually a line for lunch.

This European-style curry shop opened on February 27, 2020, on the 2nd floor of NEWoMan Shinjuku (opposite the south exit of Shinjuku Station). The Nakameguro branch is scheduled to open on September 20, 2024. Curry House Bongoo's signature dish is the luxurious beef curry, a culmination of the chef's 40 years of experience in Western cuisine. The All-Star Curry, priced at ¥2,893, comes with a hamburger, omelet, and crab cream croquette. While it's about ¥1,000 more than the European-style curry shops in Jimbocho, it's still a good deal considering the extra items included. Additionally, you can choose between a salad or potato as a side dish with your curry.

I went there knowing I would have to wait in line. On a Sunday afternoon, I waited for about 30-40 minutes. The prices are higher at night, but lunch is around 1000-1500 yen. Lunch comes with either potato or salad (you can choose), but the potato had a strange taste, so I decided to get salad next time. The omelet beef curry was a bit sweet, but the surprisingly affordable chicken curry was very delicious. You can adjust the spiciness to your liking with spices. The iced tea is refillable, and the curry was also very delicious.

I had been wanting to try this place for a while, and since there wasn't a line when I passed by, I decided to go in! I was pregnant and dining alone, and even though it was lunchtime, they were very considerate and seated me at a table. I didn't even have to ask, but their thoughtfulness really touched me. They usually serve tea, but they asked me if I preferred tea or water. A different staff member who wasn't aware of this conversation brought me tea, so I ended up getting both! Thank you so much. The beef curry was delicious and not too spicy, even for someone like me who doesn't like spicy food. The meat was so tender it practically melted in my mouth. You could choose between a salad or potato side, which was great (^^). I love pickled ginger, so I added a generous amount as a topping!
