All the dishes were delicious. This might be the only place where you can choose from shrimp, pork, crab paste, and scallops for your appetizer. 🦐🦀 Besides Japanese sake, they also have local beers and other drinks you won't find anywhere else. The sours are a bit diluted, so you might want to try the local specialty drinks instead. 🍶 This is a great place to go for a business dinner or to entertain clients. 👍
I made a reservation for dinner. The all-you-can-drink course was fantastic, with every dish being incredibly delicious. It's truly a blessing to be able to enjoy local Niigata cuisine in Shinjuku. The selection of sake included in the all-you-can-drink option was so extensive that I couldn't even try them all, and I ended up having a bit too much to drink. I think this restaurant is more suitable for dates or business dinners rather than casual dining. Thank you for the wonderful meal! It was absolutely delicious!
I was looking for a place to enjoy some delicious food and drinks, so I made a reservation at this restaurant in advance. It's located on the B1 floor of the Mines Tower, and the atmosphere is dimly lit and calm, with a spacious private room. I didn't book a course, so I ordered a variety of dishes I wanted to try. The appetizer was a selection of fresh seafood steamed in a clay pot, priced at 660 yen. Here's what I ordered: - Mejimaguro Sashimi (1628 yen) - Country-Style Tamagoyaki (792 yen) - Niigata Obanzai Platter (1408 yen) - Fugu Shirako Tempura (1188 yen) - Noppera (a local dish) (715 yen) - Murakami Beef Sirloin with Miso Paste Baked in a Ho-ba Leaf (1408 yen) - Salmon and Ikura Clay Pot Rice (2 go) (3179 yen) The drinks were also delicious. All the dishes were tasty, but the tamagoyaki with its rich broth and sweet flavor was particularly good! The whitefish tempura was light and crispy, and the clay pot rice was packed with ingredients. I tried noppera for the first time, and it was a cold, lightly flavored stew that I enjoyed. The bill came out to around 15,000 yen for two people, which is a bit pricey, but it's a good option for a special occasion. I definitely want to go back again.
This is a restaurant I frequent in Niigata. I visited their Tokyo location because I was craving Niigata flavors. I enjoyed a sashimi platter with a cup of cold sake. It was fantastic. I ordered a few other dishes and finished with a bowl of white rice. The rice cooked in a pot was so different, it was amazing. I took home the leftovers as onigiri. It was a very satisfying experience.
While it's a bit pricey, the quality of the izakaya food and the wide selection of sake are well worth it. They have a lot of Niigata regional dishes, which makes choosing fun. The appetizer is a surprise – you get to pick what you want and they steam it for you! I chose sazae (turban shell) and was amazed by how big it was!
