A select shop featuring popular sweets, including a rare selection of sweets from the "Hyakumeiten" (Top 100) list. I strongly hope the eat-in corner, which was closed a few years ago, will be revived. I stopped by "Shinjuku Takashimaya" while shopping in Shinjuku. This is "Patisserie", a cake shop located in the food section on the basement first floor. It's a shop that has been selected as one of the "Hyakumeiten" for sweets, but the biggest difference from other cake shops is that it carries cakes from various shops. Among them are "Puissance" and "Patisserie Ikeda" from Yokohama, "Patisserie Les Enfants Gâtés" from Ebisu, and other shops selected as "Hyakumeiten" for sweets, as well as popular shops from various areas in Tokyo. This is quite rare, and it's interesting to be able to choose and purchase popular items from "Hyakumeiten" class shops, like "this cake from this shop." There are so many products from different shops, so it's hard to choose, but I chose the Peach Royal Shortcake from "N-gram" in Kunitachi, the Strawberry Shortcake and Cream Puff from "Voisin" in Hamada-yama, Suginami-ku. There used to be an eat-in space, but it was abolished during the Corona period and hasn't been revived since. So, I decided to eat at the spacious seating area on the second floor of Takashimaya. It's a shame about the eat-in space. It can't be helped, though. The Peach Royal Shortcake was honestly not my favorite, as the balance of peach and cream wasn't to my liking. But the Strawberry Shortcake was a surefire hit, with the perfect combination of strawberry and cream. The last thing I ate was the cream puff, which had a delicious, generous amount of custard cream and a crispy, delicious puff pastry. Ideally, it would be even better if the cream was injected at the time of purchase, but that's unavoidable. Overall, I personally found the concept of being able to enjoy cakes from various shops, including those on the "Hyakumeiten" list, very interesting. If there was an eat-in corner like there was a few years ago, it would have been even better to be able to eat there. I really miss it. I strongly hope the eat-in corner will be revived.
Hello! I'm Harapecchan, always hungry! ————Store Details———————————— Store Name: Patisserie Nearest Station: 4-minute walk from Shinjuku Station Address: 〒151-0051, 24-2 Sendagaya 5-chome, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Takashimaya B1F Business Hours: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM Closed: None Budget: Up to ¥1,000 ———————————————————— This time, I went to 'Patisserie,' a dream-like cake select shop located in the basement 1st floor of Shinjuku Takashimaya, just a 4-minute walk from Shinjuku Station, where you can enjoy the fresh cakes of chef pâtissiers (cake artisans) all at once! But... 'Patisserie' on the basement 1st floor of Shinjuku Takashimaya is a store where you can taste popular cakes from famous patisseries all in one place. The cakes lined up in the store are 'selected daily,' so you won't get bored no matter how many times you go! It's said to be the first of its kind in the world, and they offer over 100 types of cakes! It's amazing that they are all freshly delivered from their respective popular stores. Since they gather popular cakes from various stores and offer them daily, the cake inventory changes quite frequently from week to week. From the perspective of us consumers, it's a paradise to have a wide selection of popular cakes from different stores lined up without having to visit each one individually! ♡ According to the staff, the types of cakes that are stocked, the stores, and the cake inventory may change, so they announce it on 'Patisserie's official Instagram. If you want to eat a cake from a specific store, it's best to check the official Instagram for the inventory schedule before visiting! ♪ Menu I ordered this time: 【Cookie Choux (Platino Store)】 The appearance is cute with powdered sugar sprinkled on top and a dome shape! ♪ The crunchy cookie dough on the outside, and the inside is a combination of vanilla-flavored smooth custard cream and rich fresh cream, making it the best cream ever! ♡ Harapecchan is full again this time! Thank you for the meal.
A lineup of popular and renowned sweets! ✨ I purchased a Weekend Citron from chezShibata, also known as "Che Shibata." ✨ It's a moist lemon cake with candied lemon and almond marzipan. ✨ It contains Italian lemon liqueur, Limoncello, and lemon juice in the icing, making it a very refreshing and delicious dessert. ✨ The select shop is great because you can buy various sweets without having to visit each store. ✨ It's full of delicious and tempting treats, making it hard to choose! ✨ There are also many cute cat-patterned cookies in tins, all of which I want to buy. ✨

Quite sweet and heavy due to the butter cream. It has a substantial weight. Overall, this store's cakes are quite sweet, so I recommend one piece per person. Store 🌸 Hyatt Regency Tokyo Cake) Mont Blanc 756 yen A light vanilla-flavored cream with chestnut mousse and candied chestnuts, topped with meringue and blackcurrant confiture. Overall, it has a refreshing feel. When you think of Mont Blanc, you might have some questions, but this cake is a well-crafted masterpiece. Store 🌸 Ma Priere Cake) Peva d'Oro 648 yen It feels quite heavy when you stick a fork in it. It's quite firm, but when you eat it, it's just a regular chocolate cake. It's a chocolate cake made with cocoa chocolate dough layered with 80% cocoa ganache, so it's quite strong in cocoa and a rich chocolate cake. I thought it was alcohol, but it was cocoa. lol It doesn't contain alcohol, so it's a great option for children. Store ❤️ N-gram Banana Tart 569 yen The whipped cream is light and not too sweet. The bananas are thick and rich, and delicious. Most importantly, the tart crust is delicious. It's moist and the almond paste flavor is strong. THE tart. It's simple and not overly complicated, which I appreciated. This is an interesting concept store for cake selection. From famous cake shops to local cake shops, the variety is rich. You can try cakes from various shops here, and it's great that you can choose your favorite cake and visit the shop again. The cakes change daily, so be sure to check their Instagram.
The shop was right outside the elevator, and I thought it might be a pop-up shop because of the name. But it turned out to be a sweets select shop, with products from various stores. I tried the Shimanami Lemon Cake (¥251). It was a delicious cake with a strong lemon aroma.
