This is a Thai specialty restaurant located right in the heart of Shinjuku Kabukicho. It seems to be very popular, especially during lunchtime, as you can enjoy authentic Thai food at a reasonable price. 『Pad Cha Talay / ¥1,000』 My colleague and I visited for lunch and chose the seafood and vegetable stir-fry set. It's a full-fledged set meal that comes with rice, a mini salad, soup, and even a tapioca dessert in addition to the main dish. The main stir-fry had a sweet and spicy flavor, and the bouncy texture of the squid was impressive. The aftertaste was mild yet deep, giving me the illusion of eating Thai food at a high-end restaurant. It was a strong flavor, so even the dry, crumbly Thai rice went down well. The side dishes were all pretty average. But the main dish was of such high quality and the portion size was just right that I was satisfied with just that. Since I was with a colleague, we also ordered iced coffee, but it was weak and not very tasty. The interior is deep and has a lot of seats. I wonder about the acrylic panels still being in place, but on the other hand, the restaurant is decorated with local-style furnishings and decorations, which is great because it allows you to experience the atmosphere of Thailand while being in Tokyo.
A long-established Thai restaurant located in a mixed-use building in Kabuki-cho. The exterior and interior are completely different, with the interior featuring wooden tables and chairs, and a heavy, Thai-style decor. It's always bustling with people during lunch time. The lunch set comes with salad, soup, and tapioca, making it a great value for the price. Everything is authentic and delicious. The Thai staff are efficient and friendly, making it a great choice for a quick lunch.
Absolutely delicious Thai food! I went around 1:30 PM on a Sunday and there was a line out the door. Since they have a lot of seating, I was able to get a table after about 15 minutes. I was drawn to the Pu Pad Pong Curry and ordered the C course. The portions were huge and I couldn't finish it all, but everything was so delicious, I was completely satisfied. Needless to say, the Pu Pad Pong Curry was amazing, with a smooth texture and full of crab flavor. The stir-fried beef was a bit salty and had a spicy kick that made me crave rice. The grilled skewers had a sauce with crushed nuts, a perfect blend of spicy and sweet. The glass noodle salad and the sour soup were light and flavorful, refreshing the palate. It's a great place to share with a group and try a variety of dishes. I definitely want to go back!
This was the best Thai food I've ever had! 🥹 The crab omelet (Poo Pad Pong Curry) and Pad Thai were absolutely incredible. 🥹 I definitely want to go back. It's a popular spot, so reservations are a must. ◎ The satay was the only dish that wasn't as good. I also ordered Tom Yum soup and grilled pork belly.
All the dishes I ordered were delicious. I was truly impressed by how flavorful they were. I would love to come here every day. The Yam Woon Sen was especially outstanding. I tried the Pu Pad Pong Curry for the first time, and it was delicious with a rich crab broth and a sweet flavor. The green curry had a perfect balance of strong coconut sweetness and spiciness. The Thai rice was also excellent, with a nice fluffy texture. I would love to come back for lunch. I went on a Friday night, and it seems like reservations are essential.
