Shibuya Chika - There are so many bakeries in Shibuya Mark City! This one is located on the B1 floor of Shibuya Chika. This was my second visit to Shibuya Chika, and my first time at this bakery. I was looking for a bakery, but it turned out that this area was mainly a deli area. Except for this first shop, which is located in a section of the hallway, the rest of the area had a typical department store basement atmosphere, with no bakeries or confectioneries. So I didn't look further. And it's not the fault of this shop, but rather the location, but as soon as the door opened, I was hit with a smell that was half perfume and half bakery. I was still wearing a mask, so it was bearable, but it was a very disappointing first impression. I took a quick look around the shop, but I didn't find anything that I wanted to buy as a savory bread. So I got the No. 1 meat pie and a brioche bread that looked like a large pancake. The brioche bread was lighter than the brioche bread I bought at THE STANDARD BAKERS in Tokyo Station. However, this one is better value for money. Don't expect too much from the word "brioche." If you like fluffy, sweet bread, this is a good choice because it's easy to cut with a groove. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't a memorable shop. - Brioche Bread (half) ¥395 - Meat Pie ¥360
Disappointing. It's located at the very end of the food show. The shop is small and the drinks are overpriced. I ordered a set with several breads, but my order wasn't understood. It took a long time to come out, and the samples were from all over the shop, so there was no consistency in the flavors. The bread was warmed up, but it felt half-baked. It wasn't 'freshly baked,' just 'reheated.' I was disappointed in myself for choosing this menu.
This bakery is a bit pricey. The Danish pastries were flaky and delicious. They have a small eat-in area, so it's a good option if you have some time to spare. However, it's quite cramped, so it's not exactly a relaxing atmosphere. They also offer drink and soup sets.
I bought a loaf of shokupan (Japanese milk bread) and a round loaf of bread on my way home from work. The round loaf was dry when I ate it at home, but the shokupan was delicious when I toasted it.
There's a small eat-in space with a few seats where you can enjoy the bread you purchase. They also offer two kinds of soup. You can ask for your bread to be warmed up. This time I had the porcini cream bread, which was delicious, but the cream was a bit cold, so I wish it had been warmed up a little more. The meat pie is also delicious, so I recommend it. And their iced coffee is really good.
