I finally had pancakes after a long time, and they were absolutely delicious! The butter, or maybe it was a white sauce, made them even better. The banana and strawberry were just okay, though. It was nice that I didn't have to wait in line too long. The staff seemed a bit indifferent, but it's fine for a quick meal. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a casual place to eat.

I went to Sarabeth's in Lumine Shinjuku! Sarabeth's, hailed as the "Queen of Breakfast" in New York Magazine. I'm not a big breakfast person, but when they call you the "Queen of Breakfast", you have to go! I woke up early and went there at 9:30. It's on the 2nd floor of Lumine 2. I go to Lumine 2, but the escalator in front of Dean & DeLuca on the 1st floor isn't running. If you take the escalator near the Odakyu Line entrance, Sarabeth's is right in front of you. I always use this escalator when I leave, but this was my first time going up. Except for this escalator, all others are not running before 10 am. The signature breakfast course is 3,500 yen, so I ordered that. It comes with one welcome drink. • Soup - Velvet Cream Tomato Soup • Half-size Eggs Benedict or - Classic Eggs Benedict or - Salmon Eggs Benedict • Half-size Pancakes or French Toast - Buttermilk Pancakes or - French Toast or - Lemon Ricotta Pancakes (+220 yen) • Cafe - Coffee or Earl Grey Tea The welcome drink was sangria. So excited! 😍 Looking around, there were many foreigners. The staff also took orders in English. Sangria in the morning is luxurious! I thought, but then coffee came out. What? Coffee comes out first? Then the soup came out. And soon after, the sangria... Three drinks all together. I had no choice but to drink the soup. Was it a little surprise? What if they're monitoring me? The Salmon Eggs Benedict was bland. There was salt and pepper, so you could adjust it to your liking. The Lemon Ricotta Pancakes were an extra 220 yen. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious. By the time I ate the pancakes, the coffee had gone cold. It was nice that it was poured generously, but if this coffee had been piping hot...😢 From 9 to 10 am, there are relatively empty seats, but after 10 am, it's full. You have to come to Sarabeth's early in the morning or it will be full! That's what I learned.

I had a sudden craving for pancakes and visited on the third day of a three-day weekend, a public holiday, at 9:30 am. I was able to enter without waiting. I ordered buttermilk pancakes and a Four Flower fresh mixed juice, which came to ¥2610 including tax. The pancakes were delicious! But, the portion was large... Do most people eat four pancakes? Is it for two people? It was quite a lot for one person. It was disappointing that the guidance upon entering wasn't smooth and that the drinks were served without asking. The young man who seemed to be a part-timer was slow at clearing the tables... The seats were close to the next table, and I could hear the girls' conversation from two tables away, so the atmosphere felt like a regular coffee shop for the price. (It was interesting though.) It didn't feel like a place to relax or enjoy a luxurious atmosphere. I could see people lined up outside in silhouette, so I left quickly after about 30 minutes. There were four groups waiting at 10 am. I might not repeat this place if I have to wait for a long time. I might come back with someone for the sake of conversation.

This was my second visit. It's a brunch spot I love. There's always a line right when they open. The food and service were great. I recommend the classic berry toast over the mango toast, which is only available in the summer.

I went early in the morning, so there was no line, but there was a queue when Lumine opened. The food was honestly just okay... I think it's a bit pricey for something I could make myself. The salad was fresh and delicious. Photo 1: Eggs Benedict Photo 2: Margherita Omelette The omelette was a well-seasoned egg with a delicious dressing on the salad. It looks big, but it's easy to eat.
