I stumbled upon this shop while grabbing coffee in Otemachi. The mochi was absolutely to my liking, with a soft and not overly sweet filling. It's a Japanese confectionery that even those who love sweets will enjoy! The anko filling is like a rare cheesecake!! I want to try the other mochi flavors too! Definitely a repeat visit!

Known for its strawberry mochi, I first visited this shop to try their famous strawberry mochi and have been a regular customer ever since. The strawberry mochi has soft mochi, refined sweetness in the bean paste, and sweet strawberries. I thought the strawberries would be more tart, but they were large, sweet, and juicy. While there are many shops that specialize in strawberry mochi, this one ranks among the best I've had. It was a truly satisfying treat. They also have seasonal items, so some items may not be available when you want them. But among those I've tried, "Yuki Usagi" (Snow Rabbit), "Fuku ga Kida" (Happiness and Joy), and "Kuri Mushi Yokan" (Chestnut Steamed Yokan) are my favorites. "Yuki Usagi" is adorable in appearance, with a chewy skin and refined sweetness in the bean paste. "Fuku ga Kida" has a plain appearance but is delicious with its chewy texture and azuki bean accent. Both were delicious. "Kuri Mushi Yokan" has a distinct chestnut flavor and, as always, a refined sweetness. I love the products at Sui-kodo because they are not overly sweet.

I bought strawberry mochi, castella buns, and Momoyama. The strawberry mochi was the best I've ever had, I'd say. It was so fluffy and light, with just the right amount of sweetness. I could have easily eaten a lot of them. The castella buns and Momoyama were just average.

This Japanese confectionery shop near my home seems to have become quite popular lately. With the opening of a Marunouchi branch in the underground of Gyoko-dori, maybe this location will be a little less crowded? It's great for local residents.

While I appreciate the positive reviews, I was a bit concerned about the strong coloring in the 'nerikiri' (a type of Japanese confectionery). It's certainly vibrant and beautiful, but... Also, I've been a regular here for a while, but lately I've found the sweetness to be a bit overwhelming. The granulated sugar is quite strong, and the bean paste is a bit loose. The strawberry daifuku (mochi filled with strawberries) is delicious, though, with very fresh strawberries. The mochi is thin and has a nice texture, making it easy to eat.
