The short galette from Cado, a popular spot in the neighborhood, is so delicious I can't even describe it. It's simply amazing and disappeared in a flash. It's got that perfect combination of crunch, crispness, and moistness. It pairs perfectly with milk. It's just so delicious. It's the kind of treat that everyone loves when you bring it as a gift. You have to try it at least once, and you'll want to give it as a gift too.
This is a high-end cookie shop. The store is small, but both the staff and the customers have a refined air. It was my first time visiting, so I asked a lot of questions, and they explained everything to me very politely. This time, I bought the best-selling shortbread galette with seaweed (they said it goes well with wine as well as coffee). It cost about 1600 yen for four pieces. I thought it would be saltier, but it was sweet, and I found it a bit lacking with coffee. I paired it with red wine, and it wasn't a good match. (I think it would probably go well with the right wine.) I was disappointed this time because it wasn't to my taste, but I liked the small cookie they gave me as a service, so I'd like to try other flavors.
This patisserie is located in a corner of Marunouchi Nakadori, home to the iiyo building. Their signature item is the "Short Galette." It combines the simple taste of traditional British shortbread with the rich flavor of French galette bretonne, offering the best of both worlds. Their soft cookie-style galette bretonne, filled with seasonal jams, is a bit pricier than the short galette, but it's definitely delicious. They come in individual portions, making them perfect for small gifts or as part of a larger gift set. This cookie shop is a great option for souvenirs from Marunouchi!
This confectionery shop is located near the Marunouchi Central Exit of Tokyo Station. You can purchase sweets with elegant packaging and refined ingredients. It's perfect for souvenirs, gifts, and small presents!
The taste was more ordinary than I expected. It's the kind of flavor you can find at other shops. It might be good for gifting to someone because it's high-end. There was only one staff member, and if there were customers ahead of me, I felt like I had to wait until they finished being served and checking out. I would be annoyed if I had to wait for a long time even though I knew what I wanted to buy. I think it depends on the store's customer service policy and whether the staff can be flexible. Be careful if you need to buy something quickly.
