It's located on the first floor of Shin-Marunouchi Building. The elegant and beautiful staff members provided me with attentive service. They even saved the last one for me. I fell for the older gentleman who helped me. It might be nice to go there just to chat with the staff. I'll definitely go back.
Recently, I went to buy cologne for myself, taking my daughter along. I was initially unsure which scent to choose, but the helpful and knowledgeable staff member, who resembled Kyouhei Handa (a famous pianist), guided me towards the perfect fragrance. My daughter had already mentioned the excellent customer service, and I was truly impressed by the staff member's discreet yet informative approach. It made me feel very comfortable. I ended up buying a cologne for my daughter as well. I've been to two other stores in department stores, but the customer service at the Marunouchi Building location was by far the best.
I stopped by on February 18, 2023, in the afternoon to buy a gift for a friend. The young female staff member was alone, not the male staff member who looked like Koyo Aida who I had encountered during a previous purchase. I was initially worried, thinking, "Will she be able to guide me as thoroughly as before?" My worries were confirmed, unfortunately. The customer in front of me was having trouble with their card or something, and it was taking a long time. The customer then said, "Oh, I'll come back another time," and left without buying anything. Is that even possible? And the staff member didn't even apologize! I was feeling uneasy, but I asked about the differences between the products I was interested in. She told me about the differences in the names, not the scents. I thought, "Are they selling the design of the packaging?" My friend, who was with me, saw the perfume displayed and asked the staff member, "Can I try this?" "Of course!" the staff member said, but an acrylic panel was in the way, making it impossible for the customer to reach the product. She just said, "Of course!" without doing anything. I thought, "This is hopeless. I'll just buy the product I already have." I decided to buy it. The staff member said, "We're giving away this cream to customers who make a purchase." She presented a basket with four different types of cream neatly arranged. I thought, "This staff member is strange, but the store is good, and I'm getting a free gift, so it's okay." I'm so simple. There were four different colored packages, which I assumed meant different scents. I thought, "If I ask her about this, she'll probably say the colors are different." So I asked specifically, "There are a lot of different ones, what are the scents?" The staff member just stared at me in silence. I decided to check the back of the packages, but I must have messed up the order in which the store had arranged them in the basket. I randomly chose a cream and handed it to her, but she didn't process the purchase. Instead, she started organizing the contents of the basket right in front of me. "You should really study about scents and customer service before working on the sales floor." I was very satisfied with the product. I wanted a diffuser, but there was no explanation of the scents, and I couldn't try them, so I couldn't buy it. I went all the way there for nothing. I wish the staff member who looked like Koyo Aida who explained things in detail had been there. It was such a disappointment. One star.
I visited this charming shop with a friend, hoping to introduce them to it. Unfortunately, I was surprised by the male staff member's indifferent attitude. I thought this was a place to cultivate fans, but it seems there's a dress code. I have no intention of causing any trouble. I used to be a regular customer, but I can't buy anything here anymore...
It's a bit hard to find, as you have to go through a narrow side street inside the building. But that makes it a quiet and peaceful place to browse. The shelves hold the same items as the Ginza store, but with price tags, making it feel a bit more approachable. That said, the building has a very atmospheric exterior, so it might take some courage to go in just to look around. But if you're determined to try the scents, you'll be rewarded with a selection of deep, complex fragrances that are hard to describe in words. The scent changes from the moment you apply it to how it smells after some time has passed. (I apologize to the staff for this) It's a good idea to try a scent, wait a while, and then buy the one you really like.
