The building is located in Otemachi, and it's the Mitsui Sumitomo Trust Bank building with its distinctive trademark. The restaurant is tucked away in the deepest part of the basement food court, making it a hidden gem. Even on a Saturday afternoon, I expected it to be empty, but surprisingly, it was always full. The former smoking room has been renovated into a non-smoking area. There's no Wi-Fi, but there are power outlets. The restrooms are located to the right of the entrance.
A small restaurant tucked away in the corner of the basement shopping mall in the Marunouchi Eiraku Building. It has a counter in the back, a large table by the register, and a few tables for solo diners. It's usually empty, making it a great spot for a solo reading session.
I entered the cafe in the afternoon. It's located inside the Eiraku Building, tucked away in the back, which makes it nice and quiet. I chose the Black Three from today's coffee selection, a tall size with a rich flavor. It cost 362 yen, excluding tax. It was definitely bitter and strong, and very delicious. For my sandwich, I went with the smoked salmon. It was 446 yen, excluding tax. It was good, but I actually enjoyed the edamame sandwich, which is basically a soybean sandwich, more. It depends on the time of day, but I think I'll use this place when I want to relax.
I tried something other than drinks at Tully's for the first time, and the food was surprisingly good. The portions were a bit small, but I guess that's to be expected from this kind of place. However, the mentaiko pasta I ordered this time was a great summery dish with broccoli and zucchini that really made it appetizing even in the heat.
I visited early in the morning. It was very quiet for a while, which was great. However, a person who seemed to be an acquaintance of the staff arrived and their conversation echoed throughout the store for about 20 minutes. The woman, with blonde hair tied back, wearing a black outfit and a black backpack, kept talking even though she said she was being loud. The staff member who should have addressed this continued talking endlessly, and I wished they would focus on their work.
