The perfect level of doneness allows you to savor the unique texture of each type of chicken, while the refined salt seasoning enhances the natural flavors without overpowering them. It's truly exceptional! **Cuisine** Mikado Yakitori Omakase Course - ¥10,450 A generous course featuring 10 skewers, 6 side dishes, a final dish, and a dessert. The side dishes are served between skewers, ensuring a steady flow of deliciousness without feeling drawn out. The "Hatsumoto" (chicken heart) boasts a delightful springy texture, the "Tsukune" (chicken meatballs) offer a satisfyingly chewy bite, and the "Liver" melts in your mouth with a burst of flavor. The precise grilling technique is evident in every bite. The "Uzura no Tamago" (quail egg) was a revelation, with its runny yolk exploding in my mouth! The delicate salt seasoning is a perfect complement, allowing the natural flavors of the ingredients to shine. The "Aigamo no Daki-mi" (duck breast) is served with a mustard sauce, while the "Mune-niku no Aburi" (grilled chicken breast) is paired with yuzu pepper. These subtle flavor variations keep the meal interesting. The "Kodawari Tamago no Oyako-don" (chicken and egg rice bowl) is a visual feast with its golden hue, and the rich, sweet flavor of the egg is simply divine. **Location** 3-minute walk from Shinjuku Sanchome Station, 8-minute walk from Shinjuku Station. **Ambiance** The restaurant offers counter seating, tables, and private rooms. It has a sophisticated and calming atmosphere. This well-balanced course combines skewers and side dishes for a truly enjoyable experience. The skewers are cooked to perfection, with impeccable doneness and salt seasoning. If I had to be picky, I would say that the side dishes, while good, don't quite reach the level of a truly exceptional restaurant. For example, the vegetable terrine could be simplified, allowing the main skewers to take center stage.

**Visit:** Saturday **Access:** 1-minute walk from Exit A1 of Shinjuku-sanchome Station on the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line Opens at 12:00 PM, web reservations available. Counter, table, and private room seating available. This was a long-awaited revisit. The chicken gizzards and eggplant were particularly delicious. While some skewers were a bit too salty, the overall grilling was to my liking, with the meat cooked through but still slightly rare. Every dish was delicious. The seasonal fish and meticulous preparation were outstanding. The egg omelet was like a custard! In addition to the skewers, you can enjoy the seasonal flavors. The service was incredibly attentive. After the meal, we were asked to pay at the table. It was absolutely delicious. Thank you for the meal! **Mikado Omakase Course (¥8,800)** 2-hour course Autumn Vegetable Terrine with Lily Bulb Sauce Palate Cleanser (Pickled Vegetables, Daikon Radish Grated) Chicken Gizzards Shiitake Mushroom Kōchi Prefecture Bonito (Katsuo) Straw-Grilled Chicken Breast with Fresh Black Pepper Chicken White Soup Chicken Breast Chicken Meatballs Chicken Tendon Braised in Soy Sauce Chicken Liver Rock Mozuku Seaweed Eggplant Chicken Tail Japan's #1 Egg Omelet Chicken Wing Soy Sauce Ramen *Choice of Egg and Rice, Chicken and Egg Rice Bowl, or Ramen (Salt or Soy Sauce) *Yuzu Pepper and Lemon available upon request Almond Tofu

The restaurant's interior has a bright and welcoming atmosphere, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. Even on a weekday afternoon, there were many reservations, suggesting its popularity (private rooms available). The level of doneness, pacing, drink orders, and service were all excellent, making it suitable for business meals. Weekday lunch course ¥8,800 ※ The course content varies depending on the ingredients and season. Here are some highlights from the course: * **Chicken Breast with Black Pepper:** Tender and melts in your mouth. * **Tsukune (Skewered Chicken Meatballs with Sauce):** A meaty tsukune with a good balance of crunchy cartilage and shiso (perilla) leaves. The sauce is not overly sweet. * **Chicken Breast Wrapped in Skin (Daki-niku):** The juiciness of the skin and the moistness of the chicken breast complement each other perfectly. This was my favorite dish! * **Oyakodon (Chicken and Egg Rice Bowl) with Special Eggs:** This was the most delicious oyakodon I've had in a long time. It was a wonderful way to end the meal.

A stylish yakitori restaurant. I used it for a business dinner, but it has an atmosphere that would be suitable for a date as well. The private room is free from the hustle and bustle, and you can enjoy your meal while overlooking the streets of Shinjuku. The food, including the yakitori, was excellent. As it is a popular restaurant, the time limit was strict, and it was a shame that we had to leave in a hurry at the end.
