I made a reservation with four friends about a month ago and visited the restaurant. It seems to be a very popular place, as it was packed in no time. The generosity of having sashimi as an appetizer! And the sashimi appetizer was delicious. The potato salad was just okay, maybe because our expectations were high? But the simmered fish was amazing. The broth was so good that we all said we wanted to pour it over rice. We regretted getting only half a portion. The saury was also a first-of-the-season fish, and we were satisfied with its flavor and saltiness. The sweet potato was practically dessert. I think women would love it. We ordered so much that the staff even asked us if we were sure we could finish it all, haha. Of course, we ate it all. There was a wide selection of sake, and we were very satisfied. The menu seems to change depending on the day's catch, so I think I'll want to go back regularly. I've already made a reservation for next month. The staff were all very polite and provided excellent service. It's also conveniently located right near Shinjuku Station West Exit. The restaurant is lively with lots of shouting, so it might not be suitable for those who want a quiet and relaxing dining experience. We were told that the simmered fish would take some time, but it took longer than we expected, so long that we almost forgot about it. So be prepared when you order it!
They offer sashimi made from a whole, approximately 100kg natural bluefin tuna purchased directly from the Toyosu Market ✨. The appetizer sashimi platter was fresh and delicious 😋. The rare steak, saury grilled over charcoal, and charcoal-grilled dishes were all excellent 😋. The Daiginjo sake 😋, the mushroom fried rice, and grilled rice balls 😋, the matcha ice cream affogato 😋, and the Sho-style pudding 😋 were all fantastic. The staff was kind and attentive ✨. On this day, two customers were celebrated with birthday cheers, and the entire family was very satisfied 🍴🈵😆.
The food was absolutely delicious! However, the restaurant was unbearably hot, it felt like 40 degrees Celsius inside. I'm not sure if the air conditioning was working, but I almost got heatstroke. Also, since it's a popular place, the service was a bit slow and sometimes our order didn't go through. I hope they can improve these things in the future!
This stylish Japanese pub serves delicious food and sake, making it a great spot for a date. The friendly staff may try to sell you something, but it's not at all unpleasant and adds to the experience. I ordered a variety of drinks and food, and it came out to around ¥5,000 per person. The two dishes that stood out were the charcoal-grilled rice ball and the Amakusa Daioh chicken thigh. ★ Amakusa Daioh Chicken Thigh, Grilled ★ Charcoal-Grilled Rice Ball (with raw egg) - Mushrooms - Sashimi - Various Sake The charcoal-grilled rice ball (with raw egg) is ¥580, which is a bit pricey for a rice ball, but it's absolutely delicious and a must-try for your final dish. The Amakusa Daioh chicken thigh was also delicious, but what made it memorable was the staff proudly telling us that this breed of chicken was once extinct and is now quite rare. It was a fun fact! The food was great, and I'll definitely be back. Thank you for the meal!
2024/1 Payment by credit card It's easy to understand why this place has such high ratings once you visit. Everything is above and beyond perfect. It's a place that's hard to get into without a reservation, so I booked three weeks in advance. Even then, I was told it was a close call. I made the reservation over the phone, and from the very beginning, the staff was incredibly polite. They explained that the restaurant is located in a somewhat difficult-to-find area and is in the basement. On the day of my visit, I was seated at the counter. I highly recommend eating at the counter in this restaurant. Every single dish is a masterpiece. The fish, meat, and vegetables are all delicious. I'm at a loss for words to describe how good they are 😋 The staff, including the female owner, are fantastic. They're in a league of their own compared to other restaurants. There's no way I'm not coming back here. The food and drinks are reasonably priced. If you're in Tokyo, you can't go wrong with eating here.
