I had lunch at Komagatamaekawa, a famous eel restaurant in Asakusa, which has a branch in Otemachi. I ordered the unagi-jyu (eel rice bowl). It's a bit pricey, but the eel is of high quality and the taste is refined. The sauce is not too sweet and has a light, smooth texture. The eel itself is fluffy and not greasy, so I devoured it in no time. It was absolutely delicious. For an extra ¥400, I got a liver soup instead of the regular soup. I would definitely use this restaurant for celebrations in Tokyo Station!

I've been here for lunch before, but this time I visited for dinner. The window seats offer a stunning view of the Imperial Palace, creating a wonderful atmosphere. I ordered the "Bandou Taro" (a dish featuring eel), and the eel was incredibly tender and refreshingly light. The rice was fluffy, and the sauce wasn't overly sweet. While the price is on the higher side, considering the location and quality, it's understandable.

Truly a renowned establishment. The prices are reasonable, but the taste is undeniable. The tamagoyaki (egg omelet) and yuba sashimi (tofu skin sashimi) are particularly delicious. Sipping on sake while waiting for the unagi (eel) donburi is a delightful experience. It's a great place to stop by when using Tokyo Station.

I dined there. The window seat had a wonderful atmosphere. The Unagi Donburi (eel rice bowl) 'Jō' (upper grade) was ¥7,200. It was one of the more expensive eel restaurants I've been to recently. Both the Shira-yaki (white-grilled eel) and Unagi Donburi came out relatively quickly. The eel was seasoned with a light sauce and was relatively thin. It was the kind of flavor I enjoy, so I was satisfied. The skin was a bit tough. I think the atmosphere and the attentiveness of the staff were good.

The famous eel restaurant "Komagataemaekawa" has opened a branch in the new Marunouchi Building. I've always wanted to try the Asakusa main store, but now I can eat it without going all the way to Asakusa! I went in for lunch and was surprised by the prices on the menu. The cheapest eel dish was 5900 yen. Isn't it amazing that the cheapest one is 5900 yen? I ordered the unagi-jyu (eel rice bowl) anyway. It comes with pickles, soup, and fruit. The eel that came out was incredibly delicious! The flesh was fluffy, the skin was crispy, and the sauce was just the right amount of richness. It was different from the eel I ate in front of Narita's Shinshoji Temple. This one felt more refined in both taste and texture. I went in without a reservation and sat at the counter, which was spacious and comfortable even for a counter seat. Most of the other customers seemed to have made reservations in advance. There were also people using it for business meals. I enjoyed a delicious meal in a calm atmosphere.
