I visited after a long time. As usual, it was a popular restaurant, so I waited in line for the tickets for 10 minutes, then another 10 minutes for a table. Once I sat at the counter, it took 5 minutes for my bowl to arrive. The noodles were delicious, thick and chewy, making my jaw tired. They offer free large portions, but you have to eat quickly or the noodles will get soggy in the broth. I ordered the chicken tempura soba. You can enjoy different flavors by adding the provided miso or chili pepper. The turnover is slow, but it's a very delicious restaurant.

It's delicious, right? I decided to have lunch a little early and visited. It was around 11:15 am. There were already about 5 people in line. Since it was lunchtime, I paid first and waited about 10 minutes. By the time I was at the front of the line, there were 10 people behind me. I ordered the cold grated radish soba. It came with plenty of sesame seeds and chopped seaweed, and I enjoyed the chewy, thick-cut country soba with the jazz playing in the background... Even though it was October, it was still a bit hot, but I felt the cool breeze of the Shinshu highlands for a moment. I'll definitely go back again. *Note: There are only counter seats, and they are a bit narrow.

【Shinmaru Building】 This country-style soba noodle shop in the basement food court of Shinmaru Building always has a line. I thought I could avoid the wait by going after lunchtime, but when I arrived at 12:45, there were still 10 people in line. Even when I entered, there were 10 people waiting behind me, so I guess the wait time doesn't change much. Here, you purchase your ticket at the register first and then join the waiting line. I ordered the cold meat and vegetable soba with a soft-boiled egg, and took advantage of the free large size option. It took 20 minutes to be seated, and then 5 minutes for the food to arrive. The thick soba noodles were great, and the soft-boiled egg was a nice touch. The chicken breast and modest vegetables were satisfying.

Located on the first basement floor of Shinmaru Building, this restaurant has a chic black-themed exterior. I had been curious about it for a while and visited with high expectations. They offered various menu options like meat soba and tempura soba, but I went for the cold grated yam soba in a large portion to combat summer fatigue. It seems like they offer free large portions during lunchtime. It was crowded, so I had to wait a bit before being seated. The soba arrived shortly after. The noodles were slightly thicker than usual and had a darker color. I was worried that the flavor would be too strong, but it was a refined and delicious taste for adults. I think it would be even more amazing if the flavor had a bit more impact, so I'll try a different flavor next time. I'll definitely be back soon.

I was planning to get some bread for a late-night snack after work, but then I got a craving for soba noodles! I ended up ordering the spicy chicken soba. The thick noodles had a good bite to them, and the spice was just right. It was delicious! Thanks for the meal!
