We arrived at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, August 14th, without a reservation. Since there were many reservations starting at 7:00 PM, we were asked to leave by 6:45 PM. The organic beer and roast beef salad were quite filling, enough for about four people. The charcuterie platter with three selections was delicious, especially the meat. We also ordered a four-piece bread assortment, which was also very filling, and the walnut bread was particularly good. We enjoyed a Glenlivet Highball and finished with a Bolognese pasta. It was a delicious meal enjoyed by both men and women. If you want to spend more time, the hallway seats might be a good option.
I made a reservation for the lunch course. Even before the restaurant opened, there was a line of people waiting without reservations. I chose the course because I was able to make a reservation for it. The bread is all-you-can-eat, so you can ask the staff for more as much as you like. The course was delicious. The interior was also stylish and lovely. The course was ¥4,000 per person.
We joined a line for lunch and were seated at the counter. I was extremely hungry, so I decided to order à la carte since the course menu wouldn't be enough. The bread refills were appreciated. The meat dishes were delicious, including the red wine beef, the black beer pork, and the orange sauce chicken. The pasta seasoning felt a bit lacking, but the salad was generous and satisfying. I would definitely come back again.
There's always a line, but the food is delicious and the atmosphere is surprisingly calm. The staff is attentive and quickly refills your water, and even when it's packed and busy, there's no tense feeling. This time I ordered the lunch course. I felt it was very good value for money. The pasta was delicious, and the beef stew I'd been wanting to try was tender and falling apart, with a delicious sauce and sides. My friend had the mackerel, which was surprisingly Italian. The bread is delicious and I always end up getting seconds, but it goes so well with the food that I end up getting full from dipping it in the sauce. It's one of my favorite restaurants.
European-style Small Plate Cuisine Sawamura Located in the New Marunouchi Building, a 3-minute walk from Tokyo Station. It's on the 7th floor, but there are so many restaurants that it was a bit of a struggle to find it. (It's at the very back) It was Friday, so the restaurant was packed, with several groups waiting. I had a reservation, so I was able to get in right away. There are also terrace seats, and the atmosphere is very nice. I ordered the bread, as this place is known for its bread. It was delicious. It says small plate cuisine, but each dish is quite substantial. I recommend ordering a few dishes at a time, rather than all at once.
