I visited this restaurant for dinner on my way back from Tokyo Station. While it's on the higher end for tonkatsu, it's still affordable compared to typical dining out. The mozuku vinegar, tonkatsu, white rice, miso soup, and condiments were all surprisingly delicious. The building and the restaurant itself have stylish interiors and exteriors. Needless to say, the location is excellent, being close to Tokyo Station. I went without a reservation, but there was a bit of a wait. I recommend making a reservation in advance.
Arrived at 11:30! There were about 5 groups waiting, but we were seated after about 20 minutes. I ordered the set with pork cutlet, shrimp cutlet, and crab cream croquette. The pork cutlet was slightly rare in the middle, incredibly tender! It tasted better with salt than with sauce. The shrimp cutlet was plump and juicy, and the tartar sauce was a perfect match! The crab cream croquette had a rich crab flavor and the cream was divine! You could choose between white rice and rice with perilla leaves. Of course, you can get refills! The pickles were delicious and made for a great palate cleanser. Everything, from the miso soup to the tea, was excellent! The staff was also very efficient and attentive, making sure to ask about refills for tea and rice. The seats were also semi-private, with partitions, making for a relaxing dining experience. It was a bit pricey at 3,000 yen, but it was worth every penny. Thank you for the delicious meal!
I had the pork cutlet set meal. While I usually taste sweetness in branded pork, I didn't detect any sweetness in this one. The pepper and salt were a bit strong, though (it was flavorful enough to eat without sauce). It came with chopped onions, and for ¥1,800, I felt it was a bit pricey. However, the red miso soup and pickles were delicious.
I arrived at 11:20 AM on Sunday and was able to get a table without waiting. There was a line forming behind me. When I left at 12:20 PM, there were over 10 people waiting. I ordered the lunch set with a pork cutlet assortment for 2700 yen and a draft beer for 600 yen. I used a wait-and-see coupon for a 1000 yen discount. A salad is served when you order. It's all-you-can-eat, so many people were getting refills. The dressing is delicious, but it's best to eat it with sauce. The pork cutlet meat was amazing. It was full of flavor, and it tasted even better with salt, bringing out the sweetness. The breading was light and easy to eat. The assortment included shrimp cutlets and oyster fritters. The oyster fritters were especially good, with several oysters fried together, making them dense and satisfying.
My family was visiting Tokyo, so I made a reservation hoping for a good meal, even if it was a bit pricey. We ordered the dinner set menus for two, including the filet cutlet, loin cutlet, and shrimp cutlet. Everything was even better than expected. The filet was substantial, the loin had just the right amount of fat, and the shrimp cutlet was springy and delicious. Even though it was fried food, it wasn't greasy at all and the breading was crispy. The cabbage was served in a bowl and you could get refills, and you could choose from two types of rice and get refills as well.
