I visited the first store in Japan! After having lunch with a friend, we decided to have some tea and stopped by since it was nearby. I had the melon juice. It was refreshing, not too sweet, and very delicious. I want to drink it again! The store has a high ceiling and a spacious interior, with plenty of sunlight making it warm. There's also a well-stocked shop corner, which is great! It's also conveniently located near the station. ▷▷order▷▷ Melon juice: 690 yen
DEAN & DELUCA's first store in Japan It's about a 5-minute walk from Tokyo Station. I go there when I want a slightly more luxurious lunch than usual. The quiche plate lunch, which is hearty and satisfying, comes with a salad of kale, quinoa, and grapes, which was refreshing and delicious. The salad ingredients seem to change slightly depending on the season. In the foreground is an American bar coffee cream that was sold at the counter. It's sweet and perfect for black coffee. The tables in the store are rarely empty, and the counter seats are quite close together, so I recommend going when you have little luggage.
I've been wanting to try this place for a while because it's always busy. I went in for breakfast and wanted a sandwich, and there were so many tempting options! I ended up getting the Shrimp Avocado Croissant for ¥722. The shrimp was plump and juicy, and avocado is good for you, so it's a favorite of mine. I'm going to try making it myself. I also got a Mocha Latte (S) for ¥500. Mocha is my favorite, so I'll definitely be back. The staff even told me about their app and I got a coupon for my next visit. I'm tempted to buy an eco-bag online too!
I love this place and treat myself to it occasionally. The deli plate and drink set costs around ¥2,000, so I wish the plating was a bit more aesthetically pleasing. It was uneven and didn't look very appealing. Also, not just at this location, but at all their stores, the hot drink sleeves have this strange smell, whether it's from the adhesive or the paper itself, that completely ruins the aroma and taste of the coffee. Do the staff not notice this?
I visited the store at 10 am on Saturday. While it opens at 7 am on weekdays, it opens at 10 am on weekends, so be aware of that. Also, since it's located in front of Tokyo Station, I arrived at the store around 9:50 am, but there were already about 10 people waiting. There seemed to be a lot of foreign tourists. They have a morning set, but this time I bought my favorite bread and coffee. The chicken, tomato, and mozzarella pie was delicious. They asked me if I wanted it warmed up without me having to ask, which was very kind. The price is a bit on the higher side, but the portions are large, so it's not bad value for money. It was a nice day, so some people were enjoying the terrace seating, and it's almost always full during lunch time. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal! ^ ^
