After lunch at Ginza Sisilia Toyosu, I enjoyed an espresso at the neighboring "SIT Global Caffe empowered by Segafredo." I savored the rich espresso and accompanying cookie while gazing at the flower garden on the grand staircase in the distance. I relaxed and forgot about the heat, enjoying the view.

This cafe is located inside Shibaura Institute of Technology, which was previously used for drama filming. At the time, there was no cafe, and the school building has since been expanded. The school has become even more beautiful with the addition of a new building along the river, and now there is a cafe and an Italian restaurant. I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon around 3 pm while walking my dog. The cafe was about half full, but most of the dog-friendly terrace seats were empty. It was a windy day, but the university buildings shielded us from the wind, and we were able to enjoy a leisurely tea break while admiring the beautiful flowerbeds on campus. When we sat down, the staff kindly offered to turn on an outdoor heater, which was very thoughtful.

I enjoyed an espresso doppio right before a crucial exam. The counter had a rainbow-colored object that looked like a pachinko machine, which was beautiful. It felt like a good omen, and despite limited study time, I passed the exam. I thought the rainbow-themed decor was very positive for students taking exams.

The weather was nice, so the terrace seating was very comfortable. The drinks had a unique flavor.

Having coffee in the atrium under the grand, arch-like school building on a Sunday morning is truly the best. Shibaura, Shibaura, our alma mater. (I was in Industrial Management, so I was always at the Omiya campus.)
