Not only macarons and chocolate, but also their individual cakes are elegant and delicious, highly recommended! ♪ This time, I stopped by Sadaharu Aoki after purchasing "Mitsutoshi Soy Sauce" at "Horikawa-ya Nomura" in the basement of Shinjuku Isetan, which my family has been using for almost 40 years since our marriage. On a day off, it feels a bit strange to go all the way to Isetan just for "soy sauce", so I ended up stopping by when I passed by. (lol) ...That being said, "Mitsutoshi Soy Sauce"...now a 900ml bottle costs 2,700 yen including tax...quite a price increase compared to the past. Well, I bought it for 2,430 yen including tax using my shareholder discount... But, in the beginning, it was just 1,000 yen without the consumption tax system. Anyway, I've gotten sidetracked, but what I bought this time was... ◾️Saya 970 yen (excluding tax) x 2 ◾️Bamboo 970 yen (excluding tax) x 2 ◾️Ribbon bag (plastic bag) 50 yen (excluding tax) I also purchased this using my shareholder discount for 3,835 yen (including tax). "Saya" is a piece that wraps pistachio cream and sablé noisette in cream fraise... A subtle sourness is an accent. By the way, "Saya" is the name of their beloved daughter... "Bamboo"...literally translated as "bamboo", is a classic with a mellow sweetness and a refined taste with a hint of matcha. Both of them are wonderful, with a multi-layered taste that you can feel with each bite. They are just delicious! ♪ Thank you for the meal. This time, I stopped by Sadaharu Aoki on my way back from a late lunch at "Bundo-kuyama", which is located on the 7th floor restaurant area. It was fate that I passed by...I changed my plans and bought some cakes. (lol) Anyway, what I bought this time was... ■Sensuel 2P 3,316 yen (including tax) The French word for "sensual". The "Crème Chocolat au Lait" melts in your mouth and is a bit sweet, but the sourness of the "Gelée Framboise" spreads refreshingly in your mouth. It's wonderful, with a multi-layered taste that you can feel with each bite. It was supposed to be a heart-shaped design for 2/14 "VALENTINE DAY", but it was being sold in a different shape. ■Tranche Cake aux Fruits ⁇ yen x 2 Walnuts, prunes, figs, raisins, almonds, hazelnuts, candied orange peel, etc., are soaked in cherry brandy and seasoned with cinnamon, anise, black pepper, and cloves. It has a surprisingly strong alcohol flavor, so it's a cake for adults. Sadaharu Aoki Paris, a patisserie located in the Shinjuku Isetan department store. I had the opportunity to try their macarons. There were 10 different flavors in total, ranging from classic to innovative, and they were all delicious. Unexpectedly, the sesame (black sesame) and caramel salé (salted caramel) were particularly tasty.

I bought this as a White Day gift and also for myself. It was my first time visiting this shop. The artisan was signing autographs at the store while selling the cakes. The limited edition gateau chocolat was incredibly delicious. It was the Gateau Chocolat Caramel Orange, priced at 2,430 yen. I also bought some of their classic chocolates 🍫.

The food was simply delicious. The price and taste were a perfect match. Macarons were a tough hurdle for me since I dislike meringue-based sweets, finding them dry and crumbly from the first bite. I questioned what authentic French macarons truly tasted like, wondering if there was a definitive answer. But Sadaharu Aoki's macarons were truly delicious. I rarely find sweets that make me crave more, but these macarons were an exception. The chocolate was also excellent. The aftertaste didn't linger unpleasantly in the back of my throat, so I didn't need to force it down with coffee! I could easily eat several. The staff were also very kind and helpful, answering all my questions. I will definitely be back.

I visited "Patisserie Sadaharu Aoki Paris, Shinjuku Isetan Store," located directly connected to Shinjuku Sanchome Station. Their Marunouchi branch was selected as one of the top 100 dessert shops in 2019. There was no line when I arrived around 12 pm on a Sunday, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Canelé Nature for 351 yen. For some reason, I was the fourth in line and had to wait about 10 minutes for my turn. The canelé had a lovely vanilla aroma! The exterior was crispy, while the inside was chewy and gooey, making it absolutely delicious. I enjoyed it until the very last bite.
