This dessert cafe is open until 9:00 PM ✨ but has limited seating. I had the herbal tea and chocolate crepe. The chocolate was delicious! Was the crepe batter pre-made? It was oily and watery, with a strong artificial flavor. The chocolate cream was thick and heavy. I found it hard to finish. I should have chosen a cake instead.
EN VEDETTE, a popular patisserie in Kiyosumi Shirakawa, has opened a new location in Tokyo Midtown Yaesu. ✓ Menu ordered - Parfait Fraise ¥2,750 - (Set) Drip Coffee ¥330 The cafe space has about 5 tables (10 seats). When I arrived, it was full, and I waited about 10 minutes to be seated. This time, I tried the Parfait Fraise, which I had been curious about. The "Fraise" in the name of the parfait seems to mean "strawberry" in French. The parfait is made up of crumble, diplomat cream, strawberry jelly, chantilly cream, strawberries, meringue, vanilla ice cream, chantilly cream, crumble, strawberries, strawberry sauce, and white chocolate, from bottom to top. First of all, it's beautiful to look at. The white chocolate, shaped like flower petals, is lovely. The vanilla ice cream has a refreshing flavor, and the strawberries have a nice acidity. Overall, it's not too sweet and has a sophisticated taste. It's a parfait that allows you to fully enjoy strawberries. The cakes also looked delicious, so I'd like to try them for takeout next time. This is a recommended cafe in the Tokyo Station area! Thank you for the meal!
While there may be lines on weekends, it's a hidden gem on weekdays, especially at night. It's almost always empty. The space is small, but you can enjoy a leisurely tea break. The menu is extensive. The prices are also reasonable for this area. I recommend the herbal tea for 650 yen.
The Kiyomizu Shirakawa store's positioning in relation to its luxury line. Personally, I feel it's still a step behind as a leading actress, a "vedette." Petit Gateaux: Each cake is individually boxed. Perhaps due to this, the cakes are all based on a rectangular prism design, which makes the overall look very plain. It's a bit depressing. On the other hand, while the core flavors and aftertaste lack a certain depth, the overall delicate finish is impressive. It reminds me of the HIDEMI SUGINO of old. Baked Goods: Generally unremarkable.
I had a lot of errands to run that day, and afterwards I wanted to have some delicious sweets and tea. I was planning to go to the main store in Kiyosumi Shirakawa, but I ended up coming to this shop because it has a place to eat in. I was thinking of having cake and tea, but they had a melon parfait (seasonal special) on the menu, so I ordered it as a treat for myself. I was about to give up on tea, but then I saw that you could get a drink for an extra 300 yen with sweets. So kind! The parfait was delicious, including the melon, and there were a few nuts in it that added a nice accent and created a great harmony. Thank you for the delicious meal. There aren't many seats, so it's best to come with plenty of time. For dinner, I got a strawberry cake and a chocolate cake. Both were delicious, but the delicate chocolate on top of the chocolate cake was crispy and fun to eat. The cake was overall high-quality and refined. I wanted to buy some baked goods as souvenirs on my way out, but I didn't have time and was disappointed. There were some delicious-looking chocolates in the display case to the left, which aren't in the photo. I'll be back. Thank you for the delicious meal.
