I visited for lunch on a weekday. I made a reservation online for the ¥1,900 lunch course at 11:30 am. By a little after noon, it was completely full. The course came with a drink, and I could have chosen sparkling wine, but I opted for a non-alcoholic peach tea that day. The appetizer was a beautiful assortment. For the pizza, we chose a half-and-half option, with Margherita and Regina. We could also choose pasta, so we shared one pasta dish between the two of us. They thoughtfully brought it out already divided into two portions! With dessert and coffee included, the ¥1,900 price tag was incredibly good value. The pizza was absolutely delicious! It's also close to Shinjuku Station, so I'd love to come back for dinner next time.
The restaurant features a large wood-fired oven, creating an ambiance reminiscent of a traditional Italian trattoria in Naples. It is reportedly certified by the "Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana," a Naples-based organization dedicated to authentic Neapolitan pizza. Located just a two-minute walk from Shinjuku Station, it enjoys excellent accessibility and is often bustling with customers during lunchtime. The pizza is indeed authentic and the overall food quality is satisfactory (personal opinion).
■Menu Ordered■ • Weekday Lunchtime Course ¥1900 【Gourmet Diary】 Just a 3-minute walk from the southeast exit of Shinjuku Station, in the basement of a building right in front of NEWoMan Shinjuku, there's a place serving authentic Neapolitan pizza certified by the True Neapolitan Pizza Association! It was packed even on a weekday lunch. Lots of people were enjoying their meals with smiles and laughter. The Weekday Lunchtime Course comes with sparkling wine. Being able to drink at lunchtime is the best! You can get half-and-half pizzas! It feels like a great deal ✨ There were 15 delicious-looking pizzas to choose from, so I was having a hard time deciding, but the staff kindly recommended some options. The first thing that surprised me when the pizza arrived at the table was its size! It was so big, I thought it was at least twice the size of my face. The dough was chewy and the toppings were generous, so I was full and satisfied ♡ The appetizers and dessert were also delicious, and the portions were just right for the amount of pizza! I'm so happy that there's now a great Italian restaurant right near Shinjuku Station, a place where people often gather. I can confidently recommend it! I'll definitely be coming back here for a fun girls' night out to enjoy some delicious pizza ✌
I had been wanting to try this pizzeria for a while. It seems to have been chosen as one of the top 100 pizzerias in Japan many times. It's located on the B1 floor of a building right after you pass through the space between NEWoMan and Takashimaya. It opens at 11:15, but it was already about 80% full! I couldn't make a reservation for one person (I wonder if you can make one over the phone?), so I came without a reservation... I might have been out of luck if I had come a little later. I sat at the counter and waited to be seated. There was a large pizza oven. I didn't have to wait long, and I was led to a sofa seat in the back. It was comfortable. The interior is generally dark, so it might not be suitable for taking photos. Also, there were various notes about photography, so maybe they don't encourage it. I ordered using a tablet. They offer half-and-half pizzas, so I took my time choosing. There are quite a few varieties. I went with the Romana (anchovies, capers, oregano, cherry tomatoes, garlic) and the Margherita Regina (smoked mozzarella Margherita / oregano, cherry tomatoes, smoked mozzarella cheese, basil, no tomato sauce) as a half-and-half. It was reasonably priced, so I also added a salad (+150 yen) and dessert (+150 yen). For my drink, I had peach tea. I got hooked on it when I went to Italy. The salad was surprisingly large for 150 yen. The grated dressing was also delicious. The pizza was neither too small nor too big, a perfect size for one person. (Too big is also a pain...) I started with the Romana, which had anchovies and garlic, so it was quite hearty. The tomato sauce was also delicious. ← This is important. The Margherita Regina had a strong smoked mozzarella flavor. But after tasting the delicious tomato sauce, it felt a little underwhelming. I didn't know what dessert they would bring out, but it was a pear sorbet. Delicious! Most people leave right after they finish eating, so I think the turnover is good. The pizza is delicious, it's close to the station, and it's a great place.
I recently visited a very famous pizzeria in Shinjuku, which has been repeatedly selected as one of the top 100 pizzerias in Japan according to Tabelog! Upon researching, I discovered that the wood-fired oven was crafted by Stefano Ferrara, a renowned oven maker from Naples. It truly commanded attention within the restaurant. It's wonderful to have access to delicious Neapolitan pizza in Shinjuku. I believe this pizzeria is a rare gem in the area. The location is just a short walk from Shinjuku Station. It's easily accessible from the South New Exit or Southeast Exit. The restaurant is located on the basement floor of a building. The interior is bright and has an open atmosphere. This time, I made a reservation online for a table only. There is a 2-hour time limit. Many people were waiting in line without reservations. My goal was to try the pizza that had been certified by the "Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana" (True Neapolitan Pizza Association) after passing their rigorous evaluation. The pizzas can be ordered as "metameta" (half-and-half), or in a smaller size (¥300 off the price). I was thrilled with this system because I wanted to try various types of pizza. We started with an extra cold beer. I absolutely had to try the following: ◾️Margherita, certified as a True Neapolitan Pizza [Tomato sauce / mozzarella / basil] The classic Margherita, simple yet showcasing meticulous attention to detail. I also ordered a half-and-half of Bismarckt and Margherita con Affumicata. The Margherita made with smoked mozzarella cheese was delicious. The Bismarckt featured a runny, half-cooked egg, along with an abundance of ingredients like mushrooms and bacon. Drizzling it with spicy oil added a touch of heat. This visit was to celebrate a friend's birthday, so I had called ahead to request a dessert platter. They also write messages on the plate. They even took a picture of my friend and me, demonstrating their attentive service despite being busy. The restaurant was bustling throughout the evening, but the staff's operations were efficient. They promptly cleared plates, and when our glasses were empty, they would ask, "Would you like anything to drink?" All the staff members were incredibly kind. We paid at the table. I definitely want to go back!
