Located on the B1 floor of Shinmaru Building, this British-style Hong Kong tea room is a new venture by the long-established authentic Hong Kong cuisine restaurant, Shin-Mabushi 'Shintaido'. It pays homage to Hong Kong during the British colonial era. It was a perfect place to relax and unwind. ▶︎ What I ate ◎ Lo Mein ¥990 This is a stir-fried noodle dish with a savory sauce and topped with plenty of burnt scallions. Mix the scallions and noodles well before enjoying. The aroma is also delightful. It's delicious. The dish only has scallions and noodles, so it can get a bit monotonous after a while. However, they provide chili chips and vinegar for a change of flavor. ▶︎ Customer demographics - Male to female ratio: 0:2 ※ On this day, there were 2 female solo diners. - "Girls' night out", "Date", "With colleagues", "Solo" ▶︎ Crowdedness - 10% occupancy at 6 PM on a Monday ▶︎ Seating types - Counter: No - Private rooms: No - Open seating: Tables

The "焦がしネギの和えそば" (Charred Scallion Cold Noodles) is a feast for the eyes, with fragrant, charred scallions covering the noodles completely, making for an Instagram-worthy dish. I initially planned to only have milk tea, but seeing the cold noodles being served to the gentleman next to me, I couldn't resist ordering a bowl. The scallion flavor was fantastic, perfectly complementing the noodles below. You can also add black vinegar and condiments for a flavor change. The milk tea was also one of the best I've had. The cold noodles are priced under ¥1,000, making them a great value for money.

I visited in June 2024 for lunch (afternoon tea). I booked a course with two drinks for 5,000 yen, and the amount of food was more than I expected! The taste was pretty average, not much different from the increasing number of dim sum restaurants these days. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing either. I was happy to see they served Hong Kong milk tea, as it's not something you find in many places.

The interior is stylish and comfortable with a Victorian natural feel, and there were many female customers. I ordered the dim sum set. They offered a discount on drinks other than the set, so I also ordered a flower tea. It was incredibly delicious. The dim sum set is a good size for women. I was tempted by the deliciousness and ordered an extra plate of dim sum, so I was a little full. It was great to enjoy authentic Chinese food in a stylish setting in Marunouchi. I went for lunch this time, but they offer individual orders and a wide variety of drinks, so I'd like to go for a daytime drink sometime. Due to the location, people on their lunch break might go to a more casual place, so it's relatively empty and easy to get in during weekday lunch hours. The portions are generous and satisfying, so it's also recommended for men and couples.

Located on the first floor of the New Marunouchi Building in Tokyo Station, this restaurant has always intrigued me with its Asian-inspired atmosphere. On my way home, feeling a little peckish, I saw the menu displayed outside and decided to order the single-serving 'Charred Scallion Noodles.' The dish arrived with a mountain of scallions, completely obscuring the noodles, making a striking visual impact. The moment I took a bite, I was hooked! My excitement level skyrocketed. This noodle dish comes with two condiments: a red spice, perhaps chili pepper and Sichuan peppercorn, and a black liquid, possibly vinegar. I recommend trying a little of each before adding more to your liking. I personally enjoyed both, finding them to be very Asian-inspired. The menu is ordered via QR code. Once you scan it, images of the dishes appear, giving you a good idea of what to expect. I was also curious about the desserts and ended up ordering an egg tart. It was served warm, which I really appreciated. I definitely plan to return. Thank you for the delicious meal!
