Located about an 8-minute walk from Roppongi Station. I came here for a dinner party with friends. My friend made the reservation for us at "Clutchy Alla Baba"! Apparently, it means "Baba Style" ( ◠‿◠ ) When we arrived, it said that it's a members-only establishment! There are 6 or 7 counter seats and two tables. The place is small, but it has a great atmosphere (๑>◡<๑)

I visited this place for the first time based on a friend's recommendation. We ordered prosciutto, carpaccio, and ajillo, among other dishes. The rule here is that each person must order at least three alcoholic drinks. My friend, who was with me, has an alcohol allergy and cannot drink. We informed the male chef (probably the owner) beforehand, but he said that even if she didn't drink, she would still have to pay for three alcoholic drinks. Since I can drink, I thought I could just drink six in total, including my friend's share. So, we ordered a total of five alcoholic drinks and my friend had two non-alcoholic drinks. However, when I ordered my fifth drink, the male chef said, "Basically, it's three drinks per person, you know?" (in a rather unfriendly tone). I usually don't drink much, but I was trying to follow the rules of the place, and I was very disappointed by his comment. Also, we initially ordered five dishes, but we were not allowed to order any more. Both my friend and I have good appetites, and we wanted to order freely, but we were refused and were forced to leave, which was very disappointing. It took an hour after we entered for the prosciutto to arrive, and the food service was very slow. Therefore, while the taste was a 4-star, the overall rating is low. For two people, it cost about 25,000 yen, which felt expensive considering we didn't leave feeling satisfied.

The prosciutto was sliced thinner than usual, and the perfect saltiness made the drinks flow. (I want to eat it again just thinking about it!) The baguette was also delicious, and it went perfectly with the prosciutto. We ordered various other dishes, and they were all delicious. I especially loved the rich, cheesy porcini pasta.

A 5-minute walk from Roppongi Station. Cucina Alla Baba is located on the 3rd floor of a multi-tenant building on Imoarai-zaka. I finally visited this restaurant, which a friend had been raving about for a long time. According to my friend, Chef Baba, the owner, used to be a sous chef at a popular Italian restaurant in Tokyo, so I was looking forward to experiencing authentic, creative Italian cuisine. I can't wait!!! The interior isn't very large, with counter seats and box seats in the back. It feels like a hidden gem Italian restaurant! The menu is so extensive, and everything looks delicious, making it difficult to choose. I can't decide! And there's a wide selection of wines, which is great for wine lovers, but it also makes it hard to choose!! In the end, I left the choice of dishes and wine to my friend, who raved about this place. (I couldn't decide because I was too indecisive...) ↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓ Appetizer: Prosciutto toast etc. (I forgot to take a picture) Horse meat carpaccio Handmade zucchini omelet (I forgot to take a picture) Cheese fritters with king oyster mushrooms (I forgot to take a picture) Tripe in tomato sauce (with beans) Roasted duck breast with grilled long onions Spaghettini Bolognese (I forgot to take a picture) This restaurant was amazing from the appetizer. They served homemade focaccia, bruschetta with prosciutto on homemade bread, olives, and more. Wow, isn't that amazing!? There's a lot of variety, and the quantity is quite generous, I was surprised! While waiting for the ordered dishes, I enjoyed this wonderful appetizer and lubricated my liver with wine. I lubricated it too much, and we finished a bottle of wine just with the appetizer. Haha. The horse meat carpaccio had a generous amount of watercress on top, and when I ate it with the horse meat, it was heavenly. Of course, the wine kept flowing. Yes, I was happy. The other dishes were all delicious, and I couldn't stop eating. What left a particularly strong impression was the roasted duck breast. This was the winner. The MVP of the day. The meat was cooked to perfection, and the flavor was incredible!!! The subtle sweetness unique to duck meat and the complex flavor of the sauce melted perfectly in my mouth. The grilled long onions that came with it enhanced the flavor of the duck meat, and the onions themselves were also very sweet, so I could drink alcohol with just them. In total, four of us drank five bottles of wine. Haha (I only took one picture of the wine... crying) Wow, we drank a lot^^ It was a meal where we kept saying "delicious" and "happy" the whole time, but it was a very happy time^^ I will visit again!

Tabelog Hyakumeiten (Top 100 Restaurants), Italian restaurant open until 1 AM in Roppongi - perfect for wine lovers and a la carte dining. You're expected to order at least three drinks per person, haha. Located about a 6-minute walk down Imoarai-zaka from Roppongi Station, on the 3rd floor of a multi-tenant building is "Cucina Alla Barba." I made a reservation by phone a week in advance and went with a friend. I've been to other restaurants in this building before, but I didn't know about Barba! Chef Baba runs the place solo, so I thought the food service might be slow, but that wasn't the case at all (well, maybe a little). It's amazing that he can make this many dishes all by himself! On this day, we had: Trippa alla Arabiata (1400 yen) White asparagus, fried egg, and ham (1500 yen) Wow, everything was delicious! 😄 Thank you for the meal!
