This shop is located in an inconspicuous spot within Tokyo Station. The staff provided me with attentive explanations and service. There were six flavors of ice cream available. I had a double scoop of framboise and vanilla, which cost around 650 yen. Both were subtly sweet and felt high-quality. It gave off an impression that it was for adults. It was delicious, so I'd like to go back and try the other ice cream flavors.
I bought the limited-edition Galette Chocolat Épices as a Tokyo souvenir. I was expecting something chocolatey and sweet, but it wasn't very sweet at all. It had a bitter and spicy flavor. But it was delicious, and I got hooked the more I ate it, haha.
I bought a six-piece patisserie selection as a small gift for someone. I wanted something with a long shelf life since I wouldn't be giving it for a while, but the one they showed me had an expiration date 11 days away. They said there were no others with a longer shelf life. I asked if they could add a ribbon or something, but they said the box itself was the final packaging. Three days later, I passed by the Kawasaki store, and they had elegant gold ribbons on them, and the expiration date was 18 days away, so I repurchased it there. Both are directly managed stores, but I was surprised by the differences, such as the expiration dates being a week apart at the time of purchase and the presence or absence of ribbons. I ate the one I bought first, and they were all delicious.
Visited in May 2024. This shop is located near the Silver Bell in Tokyo Station. The shop has a stylish atmosphere and mainly sells chocolates, but I ordered ice cream, of course. They have soft serve and sorbet, so I chose the sorbet. I selected the shop's signature chocolate flavor and, based on personal preference, chestnut. The chocolate ice cream was, of course, delicious, but I'm not sure if it has anything special compared to other chocolate specialty stores. However, the chestnut was incredibly delicious! The slightly sweet chestnut paste ice cream had a hint of brandy (?), which gave it a very refined taste. The sweetness of the chestnut combined with the subtle bitterness of the cacao was very tasty. I'm also curious about the raspberry flavor, so I'd like to visit again!!
I got the chestnut gelato to go. I've had their chocolate soft serve a few times and remember it being pretty good, so I had some expectations. Hmm, it had a faint marron glacé flavor with a few bits in it. But it was way too sweet. It was very dense, maybe too much corn syrup? It made me thirsty. It's a shame the chestnut flavor wasn't more prominent. It doesn't even come close to Sadaharu Aoki's chestnut creations. Stick to what you're good at. The chocolate soft serve here is definitely the way to go.
