I visited Le Blanc Shinjuku. It's located on the 1st and 2nd floors of Shinjuku Takano Building No. 2, about 20 meters from the A5 exit of Shinjuku-sanchome Station on the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line and Marunouchi Line. (There is a step before the entrance.) When I arrived five minutes before opening, there was already a line of about 25 people. From the opening time of 11:30 am, customers were guided to the seats on the 1st floor until they were all filled. From 11:45 am, customers were guided to the seats on the 2nd floor, and I was able to get a seat. On the 1st floor, there are five four-seater tables, one three-seater table, and two two-seater tables. On the 2nd floor, there are six four-seater tables and three two-seater tables. I sat on the 2nd floor and ordered the lunch menu, the domestic beef Hayashi rice set (with lunch salad, lunch soup, and drink (I chose iced cafe au lait)). It was delicious. The interior has a white ceiling and upper walls, and brown lower walls. The chairs are made of brown wood, with pink seats and backrests. Each table has a double tablecloth, green on top of white. The lighting is a good balance of spotlights and indirect lighting. Classical music, appropriate for the restaurant's calm atmosphere, plays as background music. There is one unisex restroom on the 2nd floor. Payment can be made with cash, transportation IC cards, credit cards, and other methods. This restaurant is located near Shinjuku-sanchome Station, a 15-second walk from the A5 exit. As the sign in front of the store says, "Handmade dishes and delicious Western confectionery," it's a popular Italian restaurant known for its Doria, pasta, and desserts, with lines forming before opening. It's a sophisticated and stylish restaurant.
A charming restaurant in Shinjuku. It's stylish but not intimidating, so you can feel comfortable even in casual attire. The food is delicious, and the service and etiquette are excellent. The prices are reasonable, considering the location. The popular seafood Doria and the refreshing cold pasta are perfect for summer. We were very satisfied with the Mont Blanc and crème brûlée for dessert. The salad in the set menu was fresh, and the soup had a refined flavor. The timing of the service was also good. If you're in Shinjuku, be sure to stop by.
The line was long, but the turnover was surprisingly fast. We shared a large portion of both the Doria and the Risotto with a male friend. Both were packed with ingredients and incredibly delicious! It's easy to see why this place is so popular. The Mont Blanc cake was well-constructed and delicious. The cake in the photo had a strong berry acidity. The seating isn't very spacious, so it's not ideal for a leisurely meal. We ate quickly and left.
As autumn arrived, I craved Mont Blanc and headed to Le Blanc in Shinjuku. The rich chestnut, custard, and fresh cream were perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness. I was completely satisfied. The clientele was almost entirely female, making me feel a bit out of place, but the staff were kind and the atmosphere was calm. The lunch menu looked delicious too.
I went there for the first time for weekend lunch. There was a line even before the store opened. As soon as it opened, we were guided to a seat on the first floor. Once the first floor was full, they started guiding people to the second floor 15 minutes later. Waiting outside in the blazing sun for another 15 minutes felt long, but the second floor had a more relaxed atmosphere. I ordered the most popular seafood Doria set, and the salad, cold soup, and Doria were all delicious. The drink was also generous. It had a relaxed atmosphere, but seeing the people lined up outside made it hard to relax... It was great to be able to go to a popular restaurant.
