I'd been curious about this place after seeing it on Instagram. The second floor sells bread and donuts. The third floor is the cafe. You can even get Ace's "Nori Toast" at the cafe! I told them I wanted to eat in, ordered and paid for the bread on the second floor. There were so many cute-looking breads and donuts. I was guided to the third floor, ordered drinks at my table, and paid when I left. I arrived on a weekday at 11 am, and the cafe was about 80% full. The red seats were striking. * Lemon - 550 yen (tax included) * Black Tea - 700 yen (tax included) The fluffy bread had lemon cream and a large meringue on top. The black tea also had a great aroma and was delicious.
The bakery is known for its popular cinnamon and cheese breads, as well as raspberry and custard cream donuts. Sales are from 10:00 to 20:00 (or until sold out). The store is structured with a retail and pop-up space on the first floor, and the "VAT BAKERY" bakery shop and cafe space on the second floor. The first floor retail space features items in collaboration with renowned brands such as "Champion," "Hender Scheme," "Levi’s®," "L.L.Bean," and "New Era®." It also carries items created for "V.A." by designers Jun Takahashi of "UNDERCOVER" and Tetsu Nishiyama (WTAPS, FPAR, DESCENDANT). Furthermore, there are many exclusive items from popular brands like "agnès b.," "Au Départ Paris," "CONVERSE," and "PAC-MAN" in collaboration with "FRAGMENT." On the second floor, "VAT BAKERY" offers freshly baked breads and donuts, along with a cafe space where you can enjoy original drinks and the breads purchased from the bakery. The cafe space features furniture inherited from "Ace," a pure coffee shop loved by many in Kanda, Tokyo, and nostalgic red box seats. It's a space where you can enjoy the unique atmosphere and food of "V.A."!!
Arrived before 7 pm and there was almost no line, but no fresh donuts. The atmosphere was great. The nori toast, ¥500, was surprisingly delicious and a good price. However, the latte, served in a small cup and finished in three sips, was ¥700, which felt a bit steep. It's expensive... and the seating is cramped. The location in Omotesando is fantastic. Difficult to revisit. Managed by the JUN group.
This cafe is located on the second floor of a clothing store. You order your meal right away on the second floor, then you're shown to your seat and order your drinks. The bread was fluffy and very delicious. They had a wide variety of unique cinnamon rolls, and I had trouble choosing which one to get. They only accept cashless payments. It was very inconvenient. Personally, I don't like using it very much, so I really disliked that. Since the cafe is on a main street, the view from the window was very nice.
I loved the atmosphere; it was great. The fresh donuts were delicious too. The staff were friendly. The location is quite difficult to find. There's no sign, and it's on the second floor of a clothing store.
