Before going to Maruzen, I was walking through the basement of Oazo looking for a place to eat, and I was drawn to a cafe with a nice atmosphere, and it was a great choice. As the name 'bistro' suggests, it was a place where I could enjoy delicious food. The atmosphere of the restaurant was calm, and the interior design and quality were excellent. The staff were also very attentive and made an effort to take care of us. Wow, I didn't know there was such a stylish place. I went with my family, and my companion had the salmon burger, while I had the Azumino Genki Pork roast. The vegetables in the salad served in a bowl were crisp and sweet, which already raised my expectations, and then I was blown away by the perfectly cooked roast and the delicious sauce.
The atmosphere is great, making it a wonderful place for a leisurely lunch in Otemachi. The price is a bit high, but considering the ambiance, it's justifiable. The quality is excellent, and the bread is delicious. Since it's all-you-can-eat, I tend to overindulge. The place seems to have a slightly upscale feel, so it doesn't get overwhelmingly crowded (based on my two weekday visits). I'd love to visit again.
The restaurant is located on the B1F of Marunouchi Oazo, directly connected to Tokyo Station. It's a bistro operated by The City Bakery, a popular bakery from New York. Almost all menu items come with homemade bread, and the all-you-can-eat bread is a great feature. I ordered the Seafood Bisque Lasagna (¥1980), the Melimelo Salad (¥1980), and soup (¥330). The soup seemed to change daily, and on this day, it was a sweet potato potage. The portion was small, which was a shame, but the taste was very good. The salad's vegetables were delicious, but the tuna had a strong odor. The Seafood Bisque Lasagna had a small portion, and it was mostly seafood sauce rather than lasagna, but it was delicious with a rich, deep flavor of shellfish. The high sauce-to-other-ingredients ratio might be intended to be eaten with the bread. As this bistro is operated by a bakery, the homemade bread is definitely the star. Speaking of the star, the bread, a basket was filled with plenty of baguettes and focaccia, both of which were very delicious and satisfying. I especially liked the chewy texture of the focaccia; it was excellent. Although there were some issues with the dishes, the all-you-can-eat delicious bread is appealing. It's a good restaurant to remember as a convenient option near Tokyo Station.
They have a decent selection of food here, so you might not even need to share with the bakery next door, but oh well. Anyway, the food here is delicious, and I recommend the venison burger and hummus. Though, maybe not for those with a child's palate?
I always visit Bistro Rubin when I go to Ark Hills, and it's now in Oazo! I had to go! So, I ordered my favorite hummus platter with four varieties, smoked Shinshu salmon spring rolls, and roasted Azumino Genki pork. The portions were generous and delicious! The complimentary bread was also, as expected, delicious! I'm very satisfied with the Marunouchi location and will definitely go again! (P.S.) I've visited several times since then. During lunchtime, I've had the venison burger with red wine sauce and the slow-cooked chicken breast roast with vegetable and pepper sauce. Both the venison and chicken breast were cooked to perfection and were delicious. There aren't many restaurants that can cook chicken breast so juicy.
