I've been there for lunch several times, and every time I visit, I'm deeply impressed by the delicious food and wonderful hospitality. They arrange Russian cuisine in a French style, creating an elegant presentation, and everything is very elaborate and delicious. The owner and staff are all women, and their service is very attentive and thoughtful. Lunch is only available as a course, and you can choose the soup and main dish. The course, which includes either cabbage rolls or hamburg steak, comes with salad, coffee, and dessert for 3600 yen. The restaurant is small, seating about 20 people at most, and I think you need a reservation to get in. It's perfect for meals with loved ones or lunch with good friends, and it's a small, unassuming restaurant in a downtown area that you can't go wrong with. I definitely recommend it.

This Russian restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere. I went for lunch and had a course that included salad, soup, bread (with refills), a main dish, and dessert. We chose two main dishes. The salad dressing was delicious from the start. The borscht was also delicious and full of ingredients. The combination of warm bread and vanilla bean butter was excellent. We shared the four main dishes between the two of us, and they were all exquisite. The final pudding was firm, rich, and very delicious. The service was also polite, and the price was reasonable. I couldn't find a reason not to return to this restaurant. I will definitely go again when I have business in Asakusa.

This restaurant in Asakusa is famous for its cabbage rolls. The cabbage rolls are incredibly tender and delicious. Although they only offer a course menu, the piroshki and borsch are also very tasty. It might seem a bit intimidating at first, and you might worry about using the cutlery, but the atmosphere is relaxed, so you can just enjoy your meal. The staff are also very friendly and welcoming. It's truly delicious!

I visited "Bona Festa," a Russian restaurant in Asakusa. I was excited because I don't usually eat Russian food. The restaurant has 28 seats, mainly table seats where you can relax. It has a homely atmosphere, like visiting someone's house. The course allows you to choose your favorite soup and main dish. It's nice that each person can choose what they want to eat. We started with sparkling wine for the toast. The first dish was homemade pickles. The colorful pickles had a refreshing acidity. Next, we had small scallop fritters. The crispy, thin batter was light and fluffy, and the saltiness was just right. We paired it with white wine. For the appetizer, I chose a platter of homemade prosciutto and loin ham made with "Watou Mochi Buta" pork. Then came the famous pirozhki. I ate it by hand, taking a big bite. I could taste the acidity of the tomatoes, the presence of the ground meat, and the sweetness of the onions. The fluffy, light, and juicy bread was also delicious. As an optional addition to the course, we had Russian dumplings, pelmeni. The dough was chewy, and the dumplings were packed with meat. We enjoyed them with tomatoes. We had red wine to go with the meat. For the course soup, I chose the cream soup in a pot. It was wrapped in a pie crust, and the moment I broke the crust was exciting. Inside, there was a rich, creamy soup with chunks of mushrooms and seafood. And then, what I really wanted to eat! Russian-style cabbage stew. It's simmered in bouillon for 4-5 hours, creating a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The appearance was also beautiful…! Inside, the ground meat and cabbage were layered in a beautiful mille-feuille, so soft that the knife went through smoothly. It had a moderate acidity and richness, and I felt happy with every bite. Along with the final dessert, we enjoyed coffee in the traditional Russian way. It was a classic gateau chocolat. The dense gateau chocolat came with smooth, melt-in-your-mouth cream. The warm coffee had plenty of fresh cream. The rim of the glass was coated with sugar. It was a slightly sweet and gentle-flavored coffee. It was all delicious, with dishes I had never experienced before, and I had a great time. I would definitely like to come again. Thank you for the meal!

It's nice to have Russian cuisine once in a while! I visited "Bona Festa," a 5-minute walk from Asakusa Station. This Russian restaurant received the BRONZE AWARD for three consecutive years until 2020. I made a reservation and went on a weekday at 11:30 AM. I ordered the lunch course, which includes the Russian-style cabbage rolls simmered until tender (3,620 yen), with the classic borscht and cabbage rolls. Borscht is great now that it's getting cold! The meat's umami and the soup's acidity are delicious. It warms you up! The cabbage rolls are simmered for 8 hours, so they're almost melting. The layered cabbage and ground meat go perfectly with the tomato and sour cream sauce, and it's delicious. The final hot coffee was a surprise visually. It had whipped cream on top, and fructose on the rim of the wine glass. It was delicious. I enjoyed everything until the end. 【Course Contents】 ① Chef's Choice Salad ② Soup: Tomato-flavored Borscht Soup (or Cream Soup in a Pot or Soup with Grilled Sea Urchin and Egg) ③ Main: Russian-style Cabbage Rolls Simmered Until Tender (or Russian-style Soft Hamburg Steak or Japanese Black Beef Fillet Stroganoff or Scallops with Sea Urchin Sauce) Served with Rye Bread ④ Dessert: Homemade Pudding ⑤ Coffee (or Tea) I enjoyed everything until the end. Even if the Russian government is guilty of the war in Ukraine, Russian cuisine is not!
