I visited PECK in Shinjuku Takashimaya. I bought Pane Caffe and a Piccolo Sandwich (shrimp & egg) for lunch to take out. Pane Caffe is a coffee-flavored melon pan, and it's quite large. Since it contains coffee, it's not too sweet and tastes great. It's also chewy. Be careful when eating it because the melon part crumbles a bit. The Piccolo Sandwich has delicious, chewy bread. The shrimp are plump and juicy. Since the Pane Caffe is quite large, this smaller size is a welcome addition. The two items cost around 500 yen, which is reasonable. PECK's bread itself is delicious. The edamame and bacon peperoncino also look delicious. I'd like to try it again if I have the chance.
I love PECK's focaccia and often buy about 10 at a time. This time, even though I still have some at home... I wanted the bread with 3 or 4 kinds of cheese, and the one with bacon and cheese. I went after the 10:30 AM opening, but there weren't many varieties yet. They said the full selection would be available around 11:00 AM, so I went back then. Even then, the selection was still a bit limited. Maybe it depends on the time of year... or perhaps new products are taking over. The eat-in area seems very popular, with customers coming in one after another. I was curious, but I have a lot of places to go around Tokyo today, so I'll leave it for next time. I'll visit again.
I had the lasagna since I'd read good reviews about it. It was the most delicious lasagna I've ever eaten! The bread was a chewy baguette. The peach iced tea was also sweet and delicious! It was lunchtime, but many people were enjoying wine. After finishing their meals, everyone was buying side dishes to take home. There were many people with very elegant manners, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was high-class!
The cheese is delicious. They have Parmesan and Pecorino with truffles. The aroma of the truffles is intense! It's heavenly. The side dishes are just okay, though.
◆ Pane Formaggio: Super delicious! After exiting the Shinjuku Station Miraina Tower ticket gate, you'll find "Takashimaya" next to NEWoMan. This is an Italian, long-established, high-class food store and eatery located on the B1 floor of Takashimaya. On the B1 floor of Shinjuku Takashimaya, there are various bakeries: * Saint-Germain * Maison Kayser * Fauchon * Peck * Meruhen (Sandwiches) ◆ Purchased: Pane Formaggio 1/2, 648 yen (tax included) ● Pane Formaggio "This bread is made by rolling in cream cheese, Camembert cheese, and mixed cheese, then topping it with cheese and baking it." When it's described like that, you just have to buy it. ← Not really. I moved to the usual Suica Penguin Plaza to eat it. Wow, it's so good! It's incredibly delicious! That was my first impression. The cheese, of course, is amazing. The bread itself is soft and moist. This bread would probably be super delicious if warmed up. This is highly recommended. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.
