I visited PECK, located inside the Shinjuku Takashimaya department store. For lunch, I purchased a "Pane Caffe" and a "Piccolo Sandwich" (shrimp and egg) to take out. The "Pane Caffe" is a coffee-infused melon pan, and it's quite large. It's not overly sweet because of the coffee, and it's delicious. It has a chewy texture. Be careful when eating it because the melon part crumbles easily. The "Piccolo Sandwich" has a delicious, chewy bread. The shrimp is plump and juicy. I appreciate the smaller size of the sandwich since the "Pane Caffe" is quite large. Both items cost around 500 yen, making them quite affordable. The bread at this PECK is delicious. The edamame and bacon "peperoncino" also looked delicious. I'd like to try it next time I have the chance.

The cheese is delicious. Parmesan and Pecorino with truffle. The truffle aroma is so strong! It's pure bliss. The side dishes are just okay.

I tried the lasagna because I heard good things about it online, and it was the best lasagna I've ever had! The bread was a chewy baguette shape. The peach iced tea was also sweet and delicious! It was lunch time, but many people were enjoying wine. After finishing their meals, everyone was buying takeout. The staff were all very polite and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very upscale!

I purchased a variety of side dishes and breads for takeout to enjoy with my family for dinner. The Shrimp Salsa Rosso had plump shrimp and a sweet and sour sauce that went well together. The Gorgonzola and Ricotta Pasta Salad had a strong Gorgonzola presence, but also had a sweet and sour, crunchy apple flavor and a nutty texture from the walnuts, making it delicious. The Red Snapper Sauté had a light, white fish with a strong garlic flavor that might be a hit for garlic lovers. I don't like garlic, but the vegetables were delicious. The Apple Sauce Spare Ribs had a firm texture and a ham-like flavor. The apple sauce went well with it. The Arancini di Riso, a risotto croquette, didn't taste like rice at all. I didn't eat the hamburger, so I have no comment. The Cannoli was different from what I expected. The bread dough wasn't crispy, but rather dense. The Pane Riso Piccolo, a bread made with rice flour, walnuts, and cream cheese, had a very bland flavor. I would have preferred more cream cheese. I forgot the name of the bread with apple and cinnamon, but it was delicious. The cold side dishes were delicious, but the warm side dishes didn't heat up properly and may not have been able to reproduce their original flavor. There were instructions on how to heat the side dishes, but following them didn't heat them up enough, so I had to heat them multiple times. Next time, I'll eat in. Thank you for the meal.

I absolutely love PECK's focaccia and often buy around 10 at a time. This time, even though I still had some at home, I couldn't resist the allure of their bread with 3 or 4 types of cheese and another with bacon and cheese. I went there after they opened at 10:30 am, but there weren't many varieties yet. They told me the full selection would be available around 11 am, so I returned then. Even then, there were still a few missing varieties. Perhaps it depends on the season, or maybe some new products have taken their place. The eat-in area was very popular, with customers constantly coming in. I was tempted to try it, but I had a lot of places to visit in Tokyo today, so I'll save it for next time. I'll definitely be back.
